Fashion Muse

Blake Lively

Many of us are clearly obsessed with celebrities, guilty here and there is nothing to be ashamed of. When it comes to acting, you have a favorite actress. It is also the same in beauty and fashion, you like Angelina's dress, Charlize's make up, Nicole S. (PCD) curves and so on.

I have never watch a Gossip Girl episode, I am not a fan of Blake Lively until I saw her on TV, she is so hot these days that her pictures are on every glossy fashion magazines. I love her fashion style: Classic, chic and sophisticated.

I always had a hard time thinking and creating, mixing and matching clothes. To spare me with the headache, I look at magazines and find celebrities that has the same style and look that I want to pull through, there came Blake Lively. Call me a copycat but hey, these celebrities have seasonal stylist that makes them carpet worthy. Why not snag their look. :)

I love this white Grecian gown that she wore in her show Gossip Girl, it is an opulent white and she looks like a nymph especially with that bracelet, very glamorous and I want to own one.

In the premier of The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants, she wore the same Grecian cut gown but this time, it is in orange which I think suits her complexion and the length is perfect for her towering height.

She loves wearing jeans or pants with a classic jacket and simple undershirt or embellished top, very comfortable yet chic. Something that you can wear from shopping in the morning to a fun night with your girl friends. A lot of Hollywood young stars or girls should take something from her, you don't have to wear skimpy shorts or skirt and a very low-cleavage cut blouse to be sexy.

Scent-sational

Your walking in a park, suddenly someone walk behind you and unconsciously you turn around. Why? Is it her wavy hair, floral skirt, cute smile or wait...that smells good. Smell is probably the most powerful sense that we have. We use it in almost everything. But did you know that our sense of smell is connected to our memory? This is the very idea behind the power of perfume scent. There are seven primar
y odors: camphor, musky, roses, peppermint, ethereal, pungent and putrid. Each primary odor (or even their combination's) can conjure images associated with our memory. For example, the smell of a favorite dish can bring back images of home cooked meals by Mom. The scent of roses can turn back time and bring one to that momentous prom night. The perfume scent of musk brings back images of Dad.

Perfume scent has that power. It can influence one's mood simply by triggering memories that are most likely associated with the perfume scent. They say anything that has vanilla and cinnamon scents makes guys attracted to it. While women on the other hand prefer musk, woodsy or a little bit of ocean breeze for their guys.

Here are some perfumes that
makes men turn around!

Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue

This baby is the most favored scent of young girls too. It has a a casual and breezy, sparkling fruity-floral scent that evokes the spirit of the Sicilian summer. Mouth-watering notes of lime and cedar bring about an image of the South woods on the seashore—making it the perfect blend for a hot summer day.

M by
Mariah Carey

Every celebrities have their fare share of perfumes name after them. Why not the diva herself. Mariah's M captivates the oriental-floral top notes of marshmallow and sea breeze accord, a heart of living Tahitian Tiare flower and gardenia and a dry down of sheer amber, patchouli, and Moroccan incense. According to some, It leaves an under note of powder (baby powder scent) that remains on the skin for hours!

Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman, Demi Moore, Sandra Bullock are just a few celebrities who swears on Clean perfume. Why not? It is the fragrance option for those who don’t like to smell like a particular perfume—but prefer that just-out-of-the-shower fresh smell. CLEAN combines fragrance notes of litsea cubeba, orange, sweet lime, pink grapefruit, passion lily, rose, geranium and white musk in a minimalist glass bottle.

LOVELY by Sarah Jessica Parker

The most popular celebrity scents today, Lovely captures the citrusy, woodsy fragrance softly blends a scent of pure innocence with the exotic nature of a precious oil and the sophistication of a fine perfume. Don't be sad if your grandmother love it, it is not a mature scent but very appealing to everybody.

Ralph Lauren Blue By Ralph Lauren

Nothing beats RL
in the perfume arena. They never stop at creating scents that would really make it to every favorite's list. It is a floral fragrance for women. This clean aquatic aroma is a refreshing and crisp blend of soft florals, with watery freshness to top it off. Tuberose and sandalwood give a sexy vibe to this innocent bottle. Husbands swear on it, boyfriends love it so why not try it.
If you haven't by the way.

And some that captures the woman's heart.

You can never go wrong with the crisp shirt and freshly-pressed jeans. Clean for Men is the key, the added note to that uncomplicated style. Introduced in 2003, Clean Men by Dlish is a sexy blend of ruby red grapefruit, English lavender, wild raspberry, clove, lime, olibanum, patchouli and musk that leaves you feeling fresh—like you just stepped out of the shower.

Polo Black by Ralph Lauren

Classic is the one word for me to define this cologne, from it's scent and the bottle. I remember when I was at the mall and this man pass by, he caught my attention by his cologne, and when I went to a perfume store I smelled this simple black bottle and I found out what cologne it was. It is a woody aromatic fragrance
that features sandalwood, tonka bean, patchouli, mango, sage, tangerine, and lemon.

Gendarme

It is a carefree, casual scent that is sensual, yet professionally down-to-business. It blends with the user’s musk, with a mix of green, citrus, and verbena top notes, followed by an herbal dry-down of jasmine and thyme, bound to a hint of leather. It offers a full 12 percent oil blend for a long-lasting scent. Some women have bought Gendarme for thier husbands or boyfriends and even themselves.

My Own Edward Cullen

Every woman dreams of finding and falling in love with an ideal man. The man who perfectly resembles this for me is none other than Edward Cullen himself. It's funny I know, liking a fictional character, who does not find it weird? But I think because of the hoopla this book brings to it's readers including me, I came to notice some of his characteristics--mysterious, responsible, chivalrous, selfless and loyal.

Well, perhaps loving Edward Cullen's character in the book, like I hope he is real and I'm Bella Swan, except for the fact that he is immortal-a vampire, who will live for eternity with you, your old and wrinkled self. When most women including me were raised up thinking men as the wall, the protector, somebody who will just pop out of nowhere saving your butt. We love superman right? But as I age, I'm getting enough of the hopeless romantic thinking and giving way to a more realistic kind.

But how about you? What would make you fall for a man? Is it his humor, intelligence or plain looks? Someone who is a gentleman, sweet or men who makes you feel secure and treat  you as a queen. Who would not fall for someone like that? It's every woman's dream to meet and be settled with that kind of man. I am getting more realistic, not dwelling on the concept of Prince Charming that much. So for the ladies out there, don't settle for someone just so you will not be labeled as "single" or "unattached". I, one day will find him, my own Mr. Edward Cullen minus the fangs!

Forgiven Not Forgotten

Somebody hurt you, it is too painful to bear, you even curse him/her. Can you forgive easily? Can you just walk away with the pain or bring it with you? Who do you hate the most? The doing or the doer? Hate is such a heavy word, rage, anger or whatever you call it. The pain that inflicts a person cripples her without her noticing it. But how can you let it go? Let the pain slip away especially if the one who hurts you is one of the most important person in your life and your family as well. Somebody whom you trust wholeheartedly.

On my own experience, every time I see the person who hurt me (can't even accept the fact that somebody hurt me, Pride!) I try as much as possible to ignore her, avoid her, treat her as a mere wallflower but I know that is wrong. I have read a lot of articles and even watch Oprah show about this topic. They said that bearing the hate, having it in your heart is the worst thing you can do to yourself because you are repeating every scene, the conflict between the two of you. The person had already forgot what she did to you, while you are still living on it which is the worst that you can do to yourself.

Hate would tear yourself apart in the process and if you are planning to get back on him, forget it, you'll just get hurt more in the process. Learn to let go, harder than it seems but that is the only way to live. Religion, especially Catholicism taught us that forgiving others is the essential part of living. Because God, the Almighty himself can forgive us no matter how big our sins are, how much more we to others. God does not just give people to you who are loving but also the people you will have difficulty loving, because from them, your strength will be tested, the capacity and the limitations of your love, even your own character.

Forgive the things that they did and try to realize what made them do that to you, maybe you are letting them, maybe they are not respecting you because you don't respect yourself too. Remember, the way you treat yourself might be the same way others will treat you. M. Gandhi once quoted " When people cause us difficulty, we can learn to see that they have difficulties in their own lives--and they are from ignorance or weakness," I have learn to live by this since then. Love yourself above all these pain, so in the end, the one who sleep at night without all the guilt is YOU!

Paris Spectaculaire Beauté

Tower of Romance

Everybody seems to be enchanted by the beauty of the famous tower. Who wouldn’t? With the romantic atmosphere with it's numerous lights that captures any cold hearts. But by simply looking at it makes you reminisce of all the good times, it makes you smile; coupled with a very romantic music, wine and a cute partner you're all set. Every traveler loves to have a week or two in Paris, honeymoons destinations, or if your glamorously rich shopping is good. Spectacular is the right word when you're looking at it, on my part, it's in the picture but I hope time will come, I'll be able to experience the real deal. Looking at the magnificent structure personally would give chills to me, pretty much I’m sure. But, until then, I would make myself pre-occupied looking at its pictures.
